Tatuaje J21 Reserva

Tatuaje Seleccion de Cazador J21 Reserva (5x50)
Wrapper: Habano Ecuador
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Price: $10.99

Made for Pete Johnson by Don Pepin Garcia in Miami, Fl. Filler and binders from Nicaragua, and wrapper sourced from Ecuador from the farms of the Oliva family.

The reserva has a mottled, uglier, more aged wrapper than that of the regular J21. Not much to look at, but that's the charm of Tatuaje. When cut, had perfect easy draw. Lit easily and burned a little unevenly with a few small touch ups.

First third of the cigar brought huge red pepper, typical Pepin spice. Huge amounts of creamy smoke came from this cigar. After an inch or two the cigar mellowed to cocoa and leather flavors. Second third continued to bring loads of creamy smoke with a resurgence of pepper notes. Pepper seems to be the dominant flavor profile backed with cocoa. Lots of nicotine hit me in the head. Full bodied smoke, not for the light smoker or novice. Not my favorite Tatuaje, even though I am a "Tat" fanatic.

Score: 90
