2007 Cinquante-Cinq Viognier from Languedoc, France

This is a easy to find viognier in the old world style. Light, crisp, and floral, this viognier is perfect slightly chilled in the summer time. Check this one out at your local Central Market.

2007 Cinquante-Cinq, Viognier, Languedoc
Color: Light straw color, limish-pear tinge.
Nose: Floral, sour apple, lemon, stone.
Taste: Sour fruits, stone, metallic flavors. "Green sour grapes" flavors.
Acidity: High
Density: Very-light.
Finish: Very short and pronounced.
Alcohol: 12.5%
Notes: Very light, earthy-metallic-sour mix wine that pairs well with food due to the acidity of the wine. Not exactly "flavorful" nor full-bodied but at the price point it's a "go." I only give
it a "go" because it would pair well with so much food.
Rating: 86 (WL-90) $9.99
